In addition to his role as assistant dean, Dr. Hardin continues to teach New Testament and Greek at both the undergraduate and graduate levels and enjoys his time interacting with students. He regularly presents papers at international conferences and has published at both the popular and scholarly levels. He is currently writing a commentary on 1 Corinthians for Zondervan’s Story of God Bible Commentary series. His book, Galatians and the Imperial Cult, was published in an internationally acclaimed peer-reviewed monograph series (Mohr Siebeck, 2008).

Before coming to PBA in 2014, Dr. Hardin taught at Wycliffe Hall, Oxford University (2008–14). An award-winning professor, he was named “Most Innovative Teacher” in the humanities division by the Oxford University student union (2012). He also received the “Promising Teacher Award” (2007) at Oklahoma Baptist University, where he served as the R. Strickland Assistant Professor of Bible (2005–2008).

Dr. Hardin belongs to the Society of Biblical Literature, the Institute of Biblical Research, and the Tyndale Fellowship. An ordained minister, he enjoys serving and teaching in local churches within the evangelical tradition. He and Jill—his childhood sweetheart—are decisively (but happily) outnumbered with three school-aged children.
