Dr. Shockey loves training Christian leaders and helping them discover their gifts and calling. He enjoys getting to know students and their stories, both inside and outside the classroom. Prior to coming to PBA, Dr. Shockey served as a pastor, youth pastor, worship leader, and adjunct professor. He is excited to help students grow in their relationship with Christ and equip them for a lifetime of service in the local church. His research interests include spiritual formation, leadership development, and the relationship of the church with the surrounding community. He is also interested in the use of the Old Testament in the local church, as well as biblical languages, biblical law, and the comparative study of the Old Testament.
